Settled Shoes. Fallen Tree. Full Moon.
Walking through a woods, I noticed a fallen tree that stil had leaves on it, yet there were trees around it still standing that had lost their leaves. I decided to go with the linear shots to emphasize its length, and later that evening after we concluded my walk, I turned around and saw that my two friends and I had set our shoes up perfectly after we had gotten back into the house. This reminded me of a shadow picture that I had taken by accident, trying to get a picture of a stream that turned out to be too static and shallow for me to capture, not to mention that it was connected to a sewer and I was unable to get close enough without falling in. This one holds a more personal meaning, one that I am finding myself having a hard time explaining, but that I can feel within. Perhaps it will invoke a similar, or perhaps, different feeling into a more detached viewer.
